Synopsis: Satoru Mikami, 37, is a typical corporate worker who is perfectly happy with his monotonous lifestyle in Tokyo, and cannot preach a girlfriend even once over his life. In the middle of a casual meeting with his colleague, he is the victim of a random aggressor on the streets and is stabbed. However, as he succumbed to injuries, a peculiar voice echoes in his mind and recites a lot of commands from which the dying one cannot understand.
When Satoru recovers consciousness, he discovers that he reincarnated as a mud in an unknown kingdom. In doing so, he acquires new skills - especially the power to devour anything and imitate his appearance and abilities. He then stumbles at the sealed catastrophe monster, "Storm Dragon", Veldora, who had been sealed in the last 300 years for devastating a city for the ashes. Friendly with his situation, Satoru befriends him, promising to help destroy the seal. In return, Veldor grants him the name Rimuru Tempest to grant him divine protection.
Now, released from the worldly life of his past life, Rimuru embarks on a new journey with a distinct goal in mind. As he gets used to his new physicist, his mischief waves around the world, gradually altering his destiny.
