Synopsis: Simon and Kamina were born and were created in a deep and underground village, hidden from the legendary surface. Kamina is a free -spirited cannon to get closer to himself, while Simon is a shy boy without real aspirations. One day, as he excavated the earth, Simon stumbles into a mysterious object that turns out to be the ignition key to an ancient war artifact that the dura Lagann. Using his new weapon, Simon and Kamina push a surprise attack from the surface with the help of Yoko Littner, a hot -blooded redhead wielding a huge gun that wanders around the world above.
After the battle, the sky is now in sight, taking Simon and Kamina from a journey alongside Yoko to explore the discharge lands of the surface. Therefore, they join the fight against the "men of beasts," humanoid creatures that terrorize the remnants of humanity in powerful robots called "gunmen." Although they face some challenges and setbacks, the trio fights bravely with these new enemies alongside other survivors to recover the surface while slowly unraveling a galaxy -sized mystery.
