Synopsis: Kousei Arima is a children's wondering known as "human metronomer" for playing piano with precision and perfection. Guided by a strict mother and strict training, Kousei dominates all the competitions he finds, gaining the admiration of his musical colleagues and public praises. When his mother suddenly dies, the subsequent trauma makes him unable to hear the sound of a piano, and he never takes the stage from then on.
Currently, Kousei lives a quiet and unpretentious life as a high school student alongside his friends Tsubaki Sawabe and Ryouta Watari. While fighting to overcome his mother's death, he continues to cling to music. His monochrome life turns upside down the day he finds the eccentric violinist Kaori Miyazono, who pushes him back to the spotlight as his companion. Through a small lie, these two young musicians approach as Kaori tries to fill the world with color with color.
