Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei

Synopsis: In the early 21st century, magic, thought has long been folklore and fairy tales, became systematized technology and is taught as a technical skill. In the first high school, the institution of magicians, students are segregated in two groups based on admission exam scores: "Blooms", those who receive high scores, are designated for the first course, while "weeds" are students reserve designated for the second course.
Mahouka Koukou in Retuctoi follows the brothers, Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba, who are enrolled in the first high school. When taking the exam, the prodigious Miyuki is placed in the first course, while Tatsuya is relegated to the second course. Although his practical test scores and status such as "weed" show that he is magically inept, he has extraordinary technical knowledge, physical combat capabilities and unique magical techniques - making Tatsuya the irregular in a magic school.
