Synopsis: After a mysterious spacecraft collides with the earth, humanity realizes that they are not alone. Fearing a potential threat of space, the world removes its nationalism, conflicting interests and cultural differences, unifying itself under the united nations flag. The forces of the newly graduated UN decide to redirect the alien spacecraft by naming it Macross SDF-1. Unfortunately, on the day of his inaugural trip, a fleet of spacecraft belonging to a race of aliens known as Zentradi descends on the earth, and the Macross SDF-1, acting on his own, fires the entrance squad, causing one War intergalactic.
In an attempt to escape, Macross tries to throw themselves into the moon orbit, but the ship - just like the city where it was - is teleported to the regions of the space. Caught in this mess are Hikaru Ichijou, a free -spirit acrobatic pilot, and Minmay Lynn, an aspiring singer. These two, alongside the Macross team, experience an epic journey full of sadness and drama, facing the cruelties of war along the way.
