Synopsis: In 1864, Japan, a young woman named Chizuru Yukimura is looking for her missing father, Kourou, a doctor by profession whose work often takes him away from home. But with no word of him in months, Chizuru disguises herself as a man and heads to Kyoto in search of him. Attracting Ronin's attention, she tries to hide and ends up witnessing a horrible view: Ronin being brutally murdered by crazy white -haired men. In a surprising turn of events, Shinsengumi members arrive to dispatch the creatures. But Chizuru's security does not last long, as this group of men ties her and takes her back to headquarters, not knowing if she let her live or silence it permanently.
However, once she reveals her father's name, the Shinsengumi decide to keep him safe, as they are also looking for him. But Kourou is more connected to Shinsengumi than they have shown, and soon Chizuru is involved in a conflict between Shinsengumi and his enemies, as well as political tension in Kyoto.
