Hajime no Ippo

Synopsis: In the absence of his father, teenager IPPO Makunouchi works hard to help his mother run the fishing boat rental business. The timid nature of IPPO, its lack of sleep and the smell of the sea make it an easy target for relentless aggressors who make it hurt and beaten daily. Mamoru Takamura, a promising boxer, rescues IPPO from a violent incident after school and takes him back to Kamogawa's boxing gym for recovery. Takamura and his fellow boxers, Masaru Aoki and Tatsuya Kimura, are surprised by the powerful punches of IPPO - a result of strong muscles developed over the years that serve their physically family business.
After a brief training with Takamura, IPPO impresses other boxers in a practical match against Prodigy Ichirou Miyata. He gets a rival in Miyata and a coach in Genji Kamogawa, the gym owner and an ex -boxer. While IPPO takes its first steps in his official boxing career, he faces a series of challenging opponents, each more powerful than the last one. Victory, loss and a dedicated training cycle await IPPO on their journey to achieve greatness. With his hard body and a spirit of unstoppable struggle, the kind youthful seeks to face the world.
