Great Pretender
Synopsis: A series of unfortunate events has led Makoto "Edamame" Edamura to adopt the life of crime - stinging and deceiving others to live. However, after fooling a seemingly clueless tourist, Makoto discovers that he was deceived and, to make the situation worse, the police are now behind him.
As he escapes, he runs to the tourist once again, who ends up being a con artist colleague named Laurent Thierry and ends up following -until Los Angeles. In an attempt to defend his self -proclaimed title of "Japan's greatest conistoist," Makoto challenges his rival to determine the best scammer. Accepting the competition, Laurent leaves them outside a huge mansion and says her target will be the biggest head of the west coast mafia.
Jumping from city to city, the great applicant follows Makoto's efforts alongside cunning Laurent and his colorful associates in the world of high -risk international fraud. Soon, Makoto realizes that he has achieved more than he expected, as his self -declared skills are continually put to the test.
