Synopsis: For weeks, the Atsushi Nakajima orphanage was tormented by a mystical tiger that only he seems to be unaware of. Suspected of being behind the strange incidents, the 18-year-old is abruptly expelled from the orphanage and left hungry, homeless and wandering around the city.
While starving on a river bank, Atsushi saves a very eccentric man named Osamu Dazai drowning. Enthusiast of extravagant suicide and supernatural detective, Dazai has investigated the same tiger that has terrorizing the boy. Together with Dazai partner Doppo Kunikida, they solve the mystery, but their resolution leaves atsushi at a tight point. As several strange events occur, Atsushi is coerced to join his company of supernatural investigators, assuming unusual cases that the police cannot deal with, alongside their numerous enigmatic colleagues.
