Synopsis: Modern Germany is tormented by an outbreak of "amalgams". Existing only to cause damage, these cyber entities appear from rotten meat and can merge with technology for new skills. With society left after its destruction, the xenogenesis (XAT) assault team is formed to suppress the threat. Along with its main mission to protect against amalgam attacks, the organization is also researching the newly discovered "amalgamated" humans who have rational thinking and are much more deadly than their colleagues are not feeling.
Joseph Jobson is one of those amalgamated humans who has full control over his powers. Although successful in his line of work as a lone warrior, an unfortunate meeting with the recently Amalgam Gerd Frentzen makes him a priority target of Xat. While he deceives the organization and seeks new allies, Joseph is transformed into The Blassreiter - being announced as the strongest amalgam. Now he must fight his new powers to find out the truth behind not only his past but also of the whole amalgam conflict.
