Synopsis: Haruyuki Arita is an overweight high school student who finds comfort in on -line games. But his life takes a drastic turn one day when he discovers that all his high scores were led by Kuroyukihime, popular vice -president of the Student Council. She then invites him to the student lounge and introduces him to "Brain Burst", a program that allows users to accelerate their brain waves to the point that time seems to stop. Brain Burst also acts as an augmented reality struggle game and, to get more points to accelerate, users must earn duels against other players. However, if a user loses all his points, he will also lose access to the brain explosion forever.
Kuroyukihime explains that she chose to show Haruyuki the show because she needs help from him. She wants to find the brain's creator and find out why he was created, but this is easier to say than to do; To do this, she must defeat the "six pure -colored kings," powerful faction leaders within the game and reach level 10, the highest level. After the girl helps Haruyuki overcome the aggressors who torment him, he promises to help him reach his goal, and thus begins the duo's fight to reach the top.
